"Sometimes, reaching out and taking someone's hand is the beginning of a journey. At other times, it is allowing another to take yours." - Vera Nazarian

TABLE TOP FRIDAY

Creativity is a key driver of dynamic societies. People tend to associate creativity with the arts, but it is also at the core of scientific and technological endeavour. Creativity is boosted by informal, relaxed environments, where healthy relationships and cohesion are present.

A well-known vessel to establish open and informal relations between people is social games. Every now and again, we host a Table Top Friday! sponsored by Zuriukoo Games where departmental staff and postgraduate students take a break over lunch time and play. Leaving your desk gives your brain time to develop your ideas, subconsciously tapping from the new experience or task to help the ideas combine and reform in interesting and unusual ways.

"Play is the highest form of research" - so let the games begin!
